The AIGC has collected monetary donations for Betty Chinn's work. Betty Chinn Day Center, family homeless shelter and shipping container transitional shelter provide food, clothing and help for the homeless in our area. Their motto is Love, Hope, Charity, Faith.
The Betty Chinn Center focuses on individualized care to help people regain self-sufficiency. Betty Chinn Center believes that every person: Has a unique path, Should be treated with dignity, compassion and respect, and Deserves the opportunity to change their life.
Betty Chinn has received numerous national, state and local awards for her work. In 2010 Betty received the Presidential Citizens Medal from President Obama, which is given to Americans who have performed exemplary deeds of service for their country or their fellow citizens.
Go to BettyChinn.org to see all the work done for the homeless. Checks made out to "The Betty Kwan Chinn Foundation" will be used for the Day Center. Checks made out to "Betty Chinn's Homeless Fund" go directly to Betty to help fund her outreach work.
